Dreaming of the beach? Paint pour this beautiful beach scene with ease with FolkArt Pouring Medium. Paint stunning blue waves and a sun setting sky with this easy and fun craft.
Instructions
Preparation
Create a raised, covered space to place your surface once you've poured your paint, such as thumbtacks in cardboard or a baker's rack.
Pouring Technique
Dirty Pour – the Dirty Pour technique creates an elegant, marbled effect. A flip-cup pour is also a form of dirty pour. Mix all or multiple colors with medium in a cup, then pour onto your project surface as desired.- Layer your Daybreak, Hot Saffron, and Cameo Blush colors in a cup. Pour the contents of the cup on the top half of your canvas and carefully tilt/swirl until you reach your desired pattern. Manipulate the paint so that it only stays on the top half of your canvas.
- Layer your Midnight, Cayman Blue, and Titanium White colors in another cup. Pour the contents of this cup on the bottom half of your canvas without letting the colors mix with the top half colors.
- Pour two thin lines of your Titanium White pouring mixture somewhere on the blue half of your canvas. Use a straw to blow the white upward mimicking waves.
Drying and Finishing
Place your painted project on the raised surface and allow to dry and cure for 24-48 hours for optimal results. Once dry, seal your project with FolkArt Acrylic Sealer.
