This cute sketch book is made from recycled cracker boxes.
Instructions
- Make the book cover: Begin by opening the cracker box so it is completely flat. Fold the box in half matching the edges together. Press down the fold-seam with a bone folder, hard plastic card or your fingernail. Using a ruler as a guide, trim the box so it is 7.5” tall and 11.5” wide.
- Trim the scrapbook paper to 7.5” x 11.5”. Coat the back of the paper with Mod Podge. Position the paper on the cardboard. Top-coat with a coat of Mod Podge. Use your fingers to press out any air bubbles. Smooth your brushstrokes. Allow to dry.
- Make the papers: Trim the printer paper to 7.5” tall and 11” wide. Stack the papers and fold in half. Place the papers into the book. Working through all the layers of the paper, staple them to the seam of the cover.
- Create a ribbon tie by folding the ribbon in half. Place the ribbon in the center of the book. Match the fold line with the seam of the book. Glue the ribbon to the front in back of the book.
- Cover the seam edge of the book with a piece of ribbon. Glue half the ribbon to the front and half to the back of the book.
- Add flower and button embellishments by gluing flowers with button centers down the ribbon on the front.
