  • Paper towels
  • Brush basin or container for water
  • Stylus
  • Soft lint-free cloth
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Found items: 12 various sized rhinestones; 8" silver wire
  • 12 oval or round beads for berries (can also just be painted)
  • E6000 Strong Bonding Adhesive
  • Cosmetic wedge sponge
  • Painters or stencil tape

Instructions

Preparation Instructions

  1. Wash the vase well with soap and warm water. Rinse well, and allow to dry.
  2. Moisten paper towel or lint-free cloth with rubbing alcohol. Thoroughly wipe glass surface to remove remaining dust, dirt, grease and soap film.
  3. Tape pattern to interior of vase.

Painting Instructions

  1. Load the square bottom of the cosmetic wedge sponge by dabbing into the White paint puddle. Dab to the side of the paint puddle to make sure the sponge is fully loaded and excess paint is removed to an almost dry sponge. While viewing the pattern through the glass, lightly pat a very thin coat of White within the pattern lines of the holly and poinsettia leaves.
  2. Paint along the pattern lines, both the outline of each leaf shape as well as the vein lines using the #1 script liner loaded with White. Allow to dry.

Finishing Instructions

  1. Curing Instructions – Two different methods are offered to cure Delta Ceramcoat Select Multi-Surface Satin Paints:   Note: We suggest curing the paint prior to adding the dimensional bead embellishments especially if you are baking-to-cure the paint.
    • Bake To Cure – Place painted glassware in cool oven; turn oven temperature on to 350 degrees. Set timer to bake for 30 minutes. Turn oven off after 30 minutes and allow painted glassware to cool down in oven. Remove only when oven is cool. NOTE: glassware should heat up and cool down with the oven, do NOT preheat oven.
    • Air Cure – Allow painted glassware to air dry for 21 days.
  2. Embellishments: Cut wire to 1-1/2" lengths, curl one end of wire around a small wooden paint brush.
    • NOTE: Only three beads in each group of berries have wire through them so you only need six pieces of wire. Dip the straight end in glue and place inside bead. Allow to dry. Using the stylus apply small dabs of E6000 on the painted and cured glass vase for each rhinestone and berry; press in place.
  3. Cleaning Instructions – Delta Ceramcoat Select Multi-Surface Satin Paints once fully cured are top-shelf dishwasher safe; however, because there are dimensional embellishments added to this project, it would best be cleaned by wiping the surface with a damp cloth and use for decorative purposes only.
