Shabby Fabric Ottoman
Softly, sweetly feminine, this designer ottoman started out as a beige cube!

Instructions

1.      Working on one section of the ottoman at a time, tape off stripes by applying evenly spaced stripes to the section.  Using a Spouncer brush, randomly dry brush the Seashell Pink paint onto the ottoman.  Paint some areas darker than others to achieve a distressed look.  Allow the paint to dry, remove the tape to reveal the stripes.  Repeat for all sides.

2.      Working on the front (or all sides), position the French inspired stencil in the lower corner of the ottoman.  Working up and down, Spouncer paint the stencil with Fawn paint.  Remove the stencil to reveal the design.  Dip the end of a toothpick or the end of a paintbrush into the Metallic Sahara Gold.  Paint highlights over the stenciled design.  Allow to dry.

3.      Cut random floral motifs from the fabric.  Coat the back of the cut motifs with Fabric Mod Podge.  Place the cut and Podged fabric pieces onto the ottoman in random patterns.  Smooth the fabric with your fingers.  Allow to dry.

4.      Using fabric scraps and hot glue, create shabby fabric flowers.  Hot glue the shabby flowers to the corner of the ottoman.  Glue gems around the flowers and in the centers of the flowers.
