Instructions

1.      Paint each nesting box and lid a solid color using Coffee Bean, Seashell Pink and Light Blue.  Paint two coats if necessary.  Allow to dry.  Using a loose bristle brush, dry brush Metallic Taupe over all the boxes and lids.

2.      For the Bird Box: Hot glue trims around the lid, a key to the front and rhinestones to the box and lid in a random pattern.  To make the bird, paint 1 coat of Coffee Bean over the entire bird.  Allow to dry. Paint 1 coat of crackle medium over the Coffee Bean paint.  Allow to dry.  Working quickly, paint Light Blue over the dried crackle medium.  Lightly dry brush Antiquing Medium over the bird.  Hot glue the bird to the top of the box.  Add more embellishments if desired.

3.      For the Small Box:  Hot glue ribbons around the edge of the box.  Coat the back of the paper tag with Mod Podge and secure to the front of the box.  Paint the wood Fleur-de-Lis with Coffee Bean and dry brush with the Taupe.  Hot glue the wood shape to the top of the box.  Add additional embellishments like rhinestones, pearls and trims.

4.      For the Dress Form Box: Hot glue ribbons around the edge of the box.  Coat the back of the torn paper map with Mod Podge and secure to the front of the box.  Apply a thick coat of Outdoor Mod Podge to the dress form, press the seed beads into the Mod Podge and allow to dry.  Continue until the whole dress form is covered.  Hot glue the dress form to the top of the box.  Add additional embellishments like crown charms, rhinestones, pearls and ribbons.
