Snowflake Ornament
Take your handmade ornaments to the next level with this unique and high-end looking snowflake ornament.

Other Things You'll Need

  • Large plastic round Christmas ornament
  • Black and white plaid fabric
  • Iridescent glitter
  • Scissors
  • Black permanent marker

Instructions

  1. Draw a circle onto the front of the ornament with permanent marker.
  2. Cut the circle out with the Hot Knife.
  3. Size the snowflake pattern provided to fit onto the circle previously cut out from ornament.
  4. Transfer to snowflake with permanent marker.
  5. Paint the snowflake in Ivory using the liner brush on the inside of the plastic circle, the side that was previously facing the inside of the ornament.
  6. Paint the outside of the ornament with Ivory.  Paint the inside of the ornament with Ink.
  7. Brush on a substantial amount of Mod Podge Gloss onto the outer edges of the open area on the ornament and around the outer edges of the piece cut from ornament.  Place the plastic circle with painted side up onto the opening in ornament.
  8. Once the Mod Podge dries add the Snowbank to ornament where the pieces are glued together.  Continue to add layers of Snowbank to build up the snow. Allow the FA Terra Cotta Snowbank to dry completely.
  9. Brush Mod Podge Gloss onto Snowbank and add glitter.
  10. Cut a piece of the plaid fabric and tie to the ornament.
