Instructions

You will be painting on raw wood.
Begin by painting the sky area with a thin coat of FolkArt Blending Gel.  While the Blending gel is wet, begin painting the sky with Calypso sky at the top of the plaque and brushing with horizontal strokes about halfway  down the sky area.  Wipe the brush and pick up some Titanium White and brush this light blue down to the ground area.  Blend to soften the sky.  Pick up Titanium White on the back of a palette knife and using the knife flat and parallel to the surface, add some soft, fluffy clouds to the sky.  Let dry.
Begin painting the ground with a mixture of Titanium White and Lime Green at the top of the ground area.  Add more Lime Green as you move down the ground area and blend the two colors together.  Under the tree, add some patches of Thicket.  The thicket can be added with the palette knife using the same technique as the clouds.  Pink flowers were added with True Burgundy and Titanium White.  Add additional flowers with Bright Pink.
Paint the trunk of the tree with Asphaltum and shade with Burnt Umber.  Highlight the trunk with a dirty brush and Titanium White.
The leaves of the tree are painted with the palette knife.  Start with Thicket and then add layers with Lime Green and Lime Green and Sunny Yellow and the Lime Green and Titanium White.
