Sunshine Canvas with Pot
This project is perfect for any farmhouse style décor. These soft muted colors accent each other and are unified within this project perfect for any wall décor or grouping on a mantel.

  • 12" x 12" Artists Stretched Canvas
  • Pot
  • Brush Basin or container for water
  • Paper Towels
  • alphabet stencil
  • Stencil brush
  • Pencil

 

Instructions

Sunshine Canvas Instructions
  1. Using a pencil, lightly sketch a half circle from the middle of the canvas upward. Add a half circle in the center and sketch “spokes” outward from the center half circle.
  2. Paint the center half circle Toasted Marshmallow.
  3. The “spokes” or “rays” of sunshine are painted left to right: Timeless Gray, Warm Buff, Summer Sky, Chocolate Sprinkle, Classic Caramel, Warm Buff, Timeless Gray, Classic Caramel, Summer Sky, Warm Buff, Chocolate Sprinkle, Warm Buff, Summer Sky, Timeless Gray, Classic Caramel, Chocolate Sprinkle, Warm Buff, and the last section is Classic Caramel.  Allow to dry and reapply colors if needed for opaque coverage.
  4. Paint the remaining canvas area Gray Fox, allow to dry and reapply if needed.
  5. Mask off a slender rectangle approximately 1.5” below the sunshine.  Paint the rectangle Classic Caramel opaquely.
  6. When dry, either stencil or paint the word “Sunshine” within the Classic Caramel rectangle.  Paint the word using Chocolate Sprinkle. 
 
Pot Instructions
  1. To create a “dipped” effect, draw an interesting diagonal mark across a stoneware jug / pot.  Paint one half of the diagonal marking Summer Sky.  Allow to dry.  Then reapply the base color for opaque coverage.  Let dry.
