Traditional Wood Ornaments & Garland

  • Large Flat Laser Cut Ornament
  • Flat Round Ornament
  • Flat Snowflake Ornament
  • Pencil
  • Wood and/or craft paper ball beads
  • Gold Glitter
  • Twine
  • Wooden Beads
  • String or Wire
  • Ribbon

Instructions

Large Flat Globe Ornament:
  1. Base coat ornament in Adirondack White.
  2. Paint each section with a different color: Cascade, Imperial, Adirondack White, and Antique Green.
Plaid Ornament:
  1. Base coat a flat round ornament in Imperial.
  2. Using a small flat brush, paint a grid using Tuscan Red.
  3. Using a small round brush, paint white and green lines forming a tighter grid in the lower right corner using Adirondack White and Antique Green.
Snowflake Ornament:
  1. Base coat a flat snowflake ornament in Grotto.
  2. Using a pencil, lay out your design on the ornament. Use the photo as a guide or create your own design.
  3. Fill in using Cascade, Imperial, Adirondack White, and Antique Green.
  4. Outline shapes in the darkest color.

Wood Bead Wreath Ornament:
  1. Paint the wooden beads solidly with Folk Art - Home Decor Chalk Paint; Antique Green, Imperial, and Cascade.
  2. String with wire or twine and shape into a wreath.
  3. Add a ribbon or bow for interest.

Wood Bead Garland:
  1. Gather different sized wood and/or craft paper ball beads.
  2. Paint the beads solidly with Folk Art - Home Decor Chalk Paint; Antique Green, Grotto, Imperial, Tuscan Red, Cascade and White Adorondak.
  3. Cover half of each bead with Mod Podge and gold glitter.
  4. String beads randomly on a long piece of twine.
