Upcycled 'Bloomsbury' Cardboard Vase

Instructions

  1. Draw pattern on paper and cut vase shape from cardboard.  Cut 2, one for each side
  2. Cut cardboard into long 2” stripes with the corrugated pattern going horizontal on the long strips. Enough to go around and create the sides and bottom of vase.
  3. See Video for tips- Tape the vase together as shown.
  4. Following basic instructions on Mod Podge, mod Podge over the tape with small pieces of brown paper.  Let dry completely.
  5. Cut cardboard tube into desired size to create handles and attach to side of vase as shown with hot glue.
  6. Basecoat entire vase with Magenta and let dry.
  7. Cut out pattern paper to fit front of vase.  Using Mod Podge add to front of vase.  Smooth down and let dry.
  8. Paint small accent designs around vase as shown.  Let dry.

·       Painters Tape/masking tape

·       Large pieces of cardboard from box

·       Brown packing paper or brown paper bag ripped into small pieces

·       Large thick cardboard tube ( center of tape roll)

·       Desired scrapbook  pattern

·       Hot glue gun

·       Water basin
