Cardboard box upcycled to Christmas Gift Bag

Upcycle and personalize your gifts by painting and cutting cardboard using FolkArt Acrylic Paint!

 

Instructions

  1. Cut top off the box at folds.   

  2. Use the cut pieces from the top to make the tree cutouts.

  3. Cut out three rectangles that will fit on the front using the craft knife. Cut the tree shape from the rectangles.  Refer to photo.

  4. Basecoat the box with baby pink.  Allow to dry.

  5. Use one of the rectangles to figure out where to paint the three different greens that go behind the trees.

  6. Paint the backgrounds for the trees with hunter green, citrus green and classic green.

  7. Paint the rectangles with wicker white.  Allow to dry and then add stitching around the edges of each rectangle with hunter green.

  8. Apply wicker white to the stamp with the spouncer. Stamp the wavy pattern on each color green in wicker white.

  9. Stencil the top of the box in wicker white using the stencil brush.

  10. Glue the rectangles to the box.  Refer to photo for placement.

  11. Cut two pieces of ribbon to desired length and glue them to the inside of box.
