Sprucing up your garden with a touch of love! These upcycled terra cotta pots, painted with FolkArt Multi-Surface Paints, are perfect for Valentine’s Day. Simple hearts and flowers make them extra special.
Other Supplies:
- Assorted terra cotta pots
- Heart and flower stencils (optional)
- Pencil
Instructions:
1. Wipe the terra cotta pot clean to remove any dust or dirt.
2. Seal the interior of the pot with Plaid’s Clay Pot Sealer to prevent paint blisters on the exterior.
3. Apply a smooth, even base coat of FolkArt Multi-Surface Paint in a Wicker White, Baby Pink, Apple Red and Light Lavender. Allow the paint to dry.
4. Add a second coat of paint if needed for more vibrant colors.
5. Use a pencil to lightly sketch heart and flower shapes on each pot.
6. Paint the flower and heart shapes with Wicker White, Baby Pink, Apple Red and Light Lavender. See photo for placement. Let dry.
7. Add a second coat of paint if needed for more vibrant colors.
8. Allow the decorated pot to dry completely.
9. FolkArt Multi-Surface Acrylics will cure after 24 hours.
