Instructions 

1. Using a flat brush, basecoat the ceramic vases. Let dry and apply a second coat if necessary. 
2. Use a pencil to sketch perpendicular lines on the vases to make a plaid pattern. 
3. Use a liner brush to paint over the pencil lines with contrasting colors. Let dry.
