Instructions
Children's Book Cover Ornaments:- Find the place on the book cover and trace around the template.
- Cut out the circle using the craft knife.
- Drill a hole for the hanger.
- Brush the Mod Podge Sparkle all over the circle. Allow to dry and then add the gold ribbon to hang.
Children's Book Cover Sectioned Ornaments:
- Basecoat ornament with Treasure Gold.
- Cut pages to fit ornament.
- Mod Podge the paper onto the ornament. Refer to the photo for placement of paper. Add a topcoat the paper sides only.
- Paint the characters from the bookbinder onto the gold sides of the ornament in Licorice.
Round Vintage Ornaments:
- Trace the ornament shape onto the paper and cut out with scissors.
- Brush Mod Podge Antique Matte onto the front of the cut out.
- Apply paper face down to the acrylic shape. Allow to dry.
- Add a gold ribbon for hanging.
Antiqued Vintage Book Ornaments:
- Cut paper to fit the ornament.
- Mod podge paper onto ornament. Once dry add a topcoat. Allow topcoat to dry.
- Brush on the One-Step Crackle Medium. Make sure to avoid over brushing. The thicker the medium the larger the cracks will be. Allow to dry completely.
- In a cup, water down the Asphaltum to make a stain.
- Brush stain onto the ornament. Allow the stain to go into the cracks and then whip off with a paper towel.
- Brush on the Mod Podge Mega Glitter around the edges of the ornament.
- Tie the gold glitter ribbon into a bow and hot glue onto ornament.
