Watermelon Clay Pot
Decorate your plain clay pots to look like a juicy, ripe watermelon with this vibrant craft. This bright and cheery flower pot would look great on a desk, sunroom, or screened porch.

Other Things You'll Need

  • Small clay pot and saucer
  • Medium flat brush

Instructions

  1. Basecoat Saucer with Candy Pink, let dry
  2. Paint body of pot with Red Apple and let dry.
  3. Tape off rim of pot, divided in the center. Paint the top section with Crisp Green and let dry.
  4. Remove tape and paint bottom section with Lime Green, let dry.
  5. Squeeze a quarter size of Lime Green paint onto paper plate. Dip finger into paint and press onto rim of pot as shown.
  6. Repeat fingerprints around the entire rim of pot. Let dry.
  7. Squeeze Black paint onto paper plate and dip finger into paint, press finger print onto pot and saucer to create watermelon seeds, repeat as shown. Let dry.
