What a sweet trio of home accent items! Here is a winning combination of painted terra cotta pots filled with succulents and a wooden frame all painted with a contemporary flair! These projects can easily be painted in an afternoon and displayed on a shelf or a mantel that evening!
Instructions
Frame –- Lightly sand the surface to remove any rough wood grain. Using painters tape, create a diagonal division across the frame as shown in the photo. Press tape in place along the tape edges. Below the tape line, paint a smooth application of Waverly Inspirations Chalk – Ink using the Waverly Inspirations Chalk Paintbrush. Remove the tape line and allow to dry.
- Once completely dry, reapply the tape line directly over the previously painted Ink. Apply Waverly inspirations Chalk - White on the top portion of the frame. Remove tape and allow to dry.
- Load a No. 10 Flat brush with Ink and randomly paint vertical brush marks over the top portion of the frame. Allow to dry.
- For added protection, apply Waverly Inspirations Clear Wax over the painted frame using the Waverly Inspirations Wax Brush. When dry, buff to desired sheen.
- Using a small Waverly Inspirations Chalk Paintbrush, paint the entire terra cotta flower pot with Waverly Inspirations Chalk – Plaster. Allow to dry
- If desired, lightly sand the surface to distress the appearance exposing a small amount of the terra cotta.
- For added protection, apply Waverly Inspirations Clear Wax over the painted frame using the Waverly Inspirations Wax Brush. When dry, buff to desired sheen.
- Apply painters tape to the terra cotta flower pot to create a diagonal line. Press along the tape seams well making sure the tape is fully connected to the flower pot.
- Load a Waverly Inspirations Chalk Paintbrush with Waverly Inspirations Chalk Elephant and paint below the tape line. Remove tape and allow to dry.
- For added protection, apply Waverly Inspirations Clear Wax over the painted frame using the Waverly Inspirations Wax Brush. When dry, buff to desired sheen.
