Other Things You'll Need

  • Small wood occasional table w drawer
  •  No. 10 Flat brush
  •  Brush basin or container of water
  • Medium grit sandpaper


Instructions

  1. Remove the drawer. 
  2. Lightly sand the table and drawer surface to remove any rough wood grain.  Load a Waverly Inspirations Chalk Paintbrush with Waverly Inspirations Chalk – Ink and paint the entire table.  Allow to dry.  Lightly sand smooth if needed.
  3. Reapply a second coat if an opaque coverage is desired.  Allow to dry.
  4. The drawer is painted opaquely with Waverly inspirations Chalk – White using the Waverly Inspirations Chalk Paintbrush.  Allow to dry. 
  5. Load a No. 10 Flat brush with Ink and randomly paint an overall pattern of slash marks that represent a “v” design.  Allow to dry.
  6. For added protection, apply Waverly Inspirations Clear Wax over the painted occasional side table using the Waverly Inspirations Wax Brush.  When dry, buff to desired sheen.
