Wedding Photo Image Transfer to Fabric in a Embroidery Hoop Frame

Other Supplies:

  • Black & white dry toner printed photo
  • White cotton fabric
  • Painter’s tape
  • 8” Embroidery hoop

Instructions:

  1. Use painter’s tape to mark a clean dipped line on your frame. Use Folkart paint to color-block the frame and let dry.
  2. Use Treasure Gold to hand letter a date onto your frame.
  3. Brush the Mod Podge Photo Transfer onto the printed side of your dry toner printed photo. Brush enough Mod Podge Photo Transfer so that it’s opaque and you can barely see the print. Place the print, print side down, onto your cotton fabric. Allow to dry fully.
  4. Once the formula is dry, flip the photo over to the white, non-printed side. Completely dampen the paper with water. Gently move your finger or a soft sponge in small circles to remove the excess paper from the print. Let dry.
  5. Repeat the previous step until all that’s left is the ink—no paper.
  6. Place the photo-transferred fabric into your embroidery hoop and place the hoop in the back of the frame.
