Add a classic look to your holiday home decor with this beautiful stenciled banner.

Other Things You'll Need

  • Silicone baking mat
  • Piece of canvas approximately 36.5" x 26" (finished size)
  • Silver cording
  • Hot glue gun and sticks
  • Ruler
  • Scissors or Craft knife
  • Dowel rod the width or slightly less than the width of banner
  • Large jump rings
  • Grommet tool with silver grommets
  • Tracing paper, Pencil
  • Water basin, Paper towels, Paper plates

Instructions

  1. Basecoat canvas with Blue Heaven. Let dry thoroughly.
  2. Use hot glue gun to turn under raw edges of canvas to finished size of 35.5´x 26”. Place dowel rod along top edge of banner before gluing raw edge over.
  3. Trace your words onto tracing paper to get correct spacing and use as a template for stencil letter placement.
  4. Stencil Papyrus letters with Blue Danube. Stencil Poster letters with White.
  5. Apply Sparkle Glaze to white letters with round brush.
  6. Use the glue sticks to create icicles on the silicone craft mat. When cool, use point of scissors or craft knife to create a hole at the top of each icicle. Paint icicles with White. Apply Sparkle Glaze when dry.
  7. Measure placement for 10 holes along bottom edge of banner. Refer to grommet instructions and attach silver grommets in holes.
  8. Insert jump ring though hole in icicle and then through grommet to attach. Repeat with remaining icicles.
  9. Glue silver cording to back along top edge of banner to finish. Let cure completely before hanging.
