Wooden Easter Bunnies

Other Things You'll Need

  • 9" Table leg
  • 14" Table leg
  • 5" Square wood plaque
  • Stiffened white felt
  • Baby pink felt
  • ⅝" Easter ribbon
  • Hot glue gun, Glue sticks
  • 220 grit sandpaper
  • Scissors
  • Drill

Instructions

  1. Prep the wood pieces by sanding out rough areas.
  2. Basecoat the legs and plaques with Country Gray. Allow to dry completely
  3. Basecoat the wood pieces with White.
  4. Mix equal parts Tropic Orange and White and paint one of the bases with the mixed paint.
  5. Mix equal parts Key West and White and paint the top of the other base with the mixed paint. Paint the bottom edges with Key West.
  6. Paint the bottom section of the large leg with Lavender Sachet and Light Pink, alternating sections.
  7. Paint the bottom of the smaller leg with Lavender Sachet. Add White polka dots with the end of the brush handle
  8. Sand the edges of the legs and bases to create a distressed look.
  9. Drill a small starter hole slightly smaller than the screw in the leg. Screw the legs onto the bases.
  10. Using the patterns, cut the ears out of white felt. Tie the ears into a knot in the center. Cut the pink sections of the ears out of felt. On one set of ears, paint White dots with the end of a brush handle.
  11. Attach the ears to the bunnies with hot glue.
  12. Paint the eyes with Black using the end of a brush handle. Paint a small Light Pink nose and add mouth details with Black.
  13. Create a small bow from the ribbon and glue in place as shown.
