Ambassador Halloween Party Challenge

Ambassador Halloween Party Challenge

Are you ready to party??? It's spooky season and we are here for all the tricks and treats! There is nothing like a good Halloween party with great food, great decorations, and great friends. With that spirit in mind, we decided to challenge our ambassadors with creating something truly unique for their Halloween celebration this year. We gave each ambassador a theme and asked them to create a one-of-a-kind Halloween party display that included a tablescape, decorated buffet or bar cart and serving area, or fully decorated living room. Then it was up to each ambassador to interpret each theme.

We are blown away by the parties that these ambassadors made and we are sure you are going to be inspired too! Keep reading to check out each ambassador, their theme, and some amazing photos of their party displays. Which one is your favorite?

If you are not signed up for our weekly newsletter, you should be! Each week in October we will be featuring one of these talented artist's parties. So what are you waiting for, sign up now!

Jazzy's Creation & Design

I am a graphic designer from Portland, Oregon. My work is influenced by modern mixed media with a native twist! I graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design. My work has been advertised in magazines, t-shirts and websites.

I have 5+ years of experience in graphic design and project coordination. I began in Weiden + Kennedy's non-profit organization, where I worked with the co-founder of W&K and the Media Production Manager. I have worked for many non-profit organizations and programs: Oregon Health Sciences University, American Indian Teacher’s Program (co-sponsored by PSU’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and Graduate School of Education), Oregon Department of Education’s grant for Culturally Responsive Elementary Mathematics, Native American Rehabilitation Association’s Healing Feather program, and several projects funded by Native American tribal governments (local and regional).

What do I do for fun? I enjoy styling parties and making handmade things for family and friends which keeps me occupied at nights through blogging about my DIY projects on Jazzyscreation.wordpress.com. I'm also a scrapbooker and anything that has to do with capturing a beautiful moment, photography. I enjoy the outdoors, hanging out with my little girl & dog, and crafting with friends.

Slumbering Alligator

I’ve been creating art my whole life. When I was very young, I would decorate my Great Grandma’s spare bedroom with paper crafts for the holidays. Whether paper chains for Christmas or paper hearts for Valentine's Day, my love of the handmade was evident at an early age.

As I grew older, my love for the holidays grew. Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. I had so much fun in high school decorating my Mom’s house and yard to the envy of the neighbors. I was and always have been very resourceful, utilizing items around her house. We needed a ghost. Great, where’s a sheet?

My Grandma helped in encouraging my creativity, I have extremely fond memories of helping her decorate at Christmas time. At my first job, when I was 15, I created theme days for the restaurant I worked at. The service staff would dress in costume and I would decorate the whole place. Sometimes the days would correspond with holidays, other times, they carried random themes. 1950’s day was a lot of fun.

Around 2012, I began creating elaborate art installations for a Chicago nightlife institution for various holidays and special events. I was able to work with multiple mediums. My imagination ran wild. I loved these installations and I will always consider them as the starting point of what is now Slumbering Alligator.

Those installations launched me into creating crafts on the regular, making tutorial videos, doing holiday decor for businesses/residences and developing this website. I also was a DIY star finalist on Hallmark channels Emmy nominated television show, Home and Family.

The point is, baby, I was born this way. Creating is my passion.

DoodleCraft

Hi!  I’m Natalie Shaw, the creator of Doodlecraft! I am a Play-at-Home mom of 3...and they, with my husband, are my partners in crime. I have been crafting since I was old enough to sit up. My mom was an avid crafter and worked for a big craft store where she designed projects way before the days of Pinterest, so naturally I have filled her shoes. I started my blog on Valentine's day in 2011 when my husband joined the Army--it was our first Valentine's day apart. I post budget conscious DIY’s, crafts, recipes, jewelry, kid friendly projects, upcycled treasures and other fun on my blog 5 days a week.
