Make a sweet statement with this last-minute candy headband!
This project features these great brands:
At a Glance:
Use the styrofoam sheet to cut out the shape of a doughnut.
Basecoat the headband, the styrofoam balls, the styrofoam doughnut, the wooden dowel and the miniature birthday hat in your choice of FolkArt Acrylic Paint.
Once the paint has dried, use Mod Podge Fabric to wrap and cover the two medium and large styrofoam balls with yarn in your choice of color.
Use hot glue to attach the small styrofoam ball to the painted birthday hat. Once assembled, it should look like an ice cream cone. You can then use Mod Podge gloss to glue sprinkles on top of the yarn for a realistic/3D look.
Cut a paper cup in half, then use Mod Podge Gloss to cover it with decorative scrapbook paper.
Use hot glue to attach the large styrofoam ball to the halved paper cup. Use hot glue again to attach the extra small styrofoam ball on top to act as a cherry.
Stick the wooden dowel stick into one of the medium styrofoam balls, then tie a fabric bow around it as a decorative accent. Once assembled, it should look like a lollipop.
Use Mod Podge Gloss to attach dessert sprinkles on to the painted styrofoam doughnut.
Once the ice cream cone, cupcake, lollipop and doughnut have all fully dried, use hot glue to secure each element onto the headband.
