Easy DIY Frame Idea

Add a fun, personalized touch to a photo frame with cool Apple Barrel colors.

Other Supplies

Sunflower mixed bouquet, 5" Wood letter, Painters Tape, Cotton twine, Piece of burlap larger than frame opening, Sandpaper, Petroleum jelly, Hot glue, Scissors

Instructions

  1. Basecoat the frame with White. Tape off diagonal stipes and paint with Key West.
  2. Basecoat the letter with White. Lightly rubbed petroleum jelly on the edges. Paint the letter with Tropic Orange.
  3. When the letter is dry, lightly sand the edges to create a distressed look.
  4. Cut a piece of twine and hot glue one end to the back. Wrap the twine around the letter three times as shown. Add a little hot glue to the back to keep the twine in place. Repeat the same step for the other end of the letter. Center the letter in the frame and hot glue the twine to the back of the frame.
  5. Cut the flowers at the base and hot glue in the corners as shown.
  6. Glue or tape the piece of burlap to the back of the frame.
