Other Supplies

  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Brown butcher paper
  • Clear tape

instructions

  1. Neatly wrap your gift boxes using brown butcher paper and clear tape.
  2. Using a ruler and pencil, lightly draw grids on the tops of the boxes. The width of the grid can vary based on preference and the size of your gift box. It it only important that the lines are evenly space.
  3. Using a small liner brush, paint over the lines using Apple Red, Pure Black or Dove Gray. Use thinner brushes for thinner lines and wider brushes to achieve thicker lines.
  4. When the paint is dry, decorate the gift boxes using matching ribbons and bows.

Cool colors are all the colors on the Green and Blue side of the color wheel. Yellow, Yellow/Green, Green, Blue/Green, Blue, Blue/Purple, Purple are all cool colors. All colors on the color wheel can be both warm and cool except Orange.
Transparent colors are thinned with medium or water to create a wash or a glaze of color that you can see through to the underlying surface.
