Other Things You'll Need

  • Faux pumpkins
  • Bug napkins
  • Scissors
  • Flat brush
  • Tooth brush

Instructions

  1. Basecoat different sized pumpkins with Dove Gray, Pure Black, Wicker White and Treasure Gold using a flat brush. Let dry.
  2. On the black pumpkin, use a flat brush to apply a coat of Dragonfly Glaze in Violet-Blue-Green. Let dry.
  3. Cut bug images out of napkins and remove the extra 2 plies of napkins from the cut-outs. Apply an even coat of Mod Podge Gloss to a small area on the gray pumpkins and apply the napkin cut-out. Continue this until you have as many bugs on your pumpkins as you desire. Let dry.
  4. Paint the stems of the pumpkins with Treasure Gold.
  5. Apply some Treasure Gold to an old toothbrush and rake your thumb across the bristles to create a fine splattered effect on the pumpkins.
