Give a standard kitchen table a unique look.

Instructions

  1. Sand table top to remove any bumps, old finish, etc.

  2. When smooth, paint table with Lime Green  – about  two coats.

  3.  Paint table legs with Pure Black.

  4. When dry, distress legs and table top edgeswith 80 grit sandpaper.

  5. I found thewords Bon Appetite on the internet and printed a version I liked on mycomputer.  Place carbon paper under theprintout and trace onto table top.  Usingsmall brush and the FolkArt Black paint the lettering.  (another option would be to use the FolkArtblank stencils with a Cricut machine and print your own custom stencil!  Very cool!)

  6. When dry, mix 4 parts water with one part black paint and using softcloth, glaze the top of the table – focusing on the distressed edges.  Work quickly, and try to spread the  glaze in one direction.

  7. When the glaze is dry, use a water basedpolyurethane to seal table top.  Apply3-4 coats with a small roller handle and foam roller, rolling  in one direction. Allow to dry between coats.
