  • 1x4x8 wooden planks
  • Jigsaw
  • Screws
  • Drill
  • Drill bits
  • Screwdriver
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Measuring tape
  • Utility knife
  • Sandpaper
  • Tack Cloth

instructions

  1. Remove the seat from chair.
  2. Sand the chair so that paint will adhere to wood.
  3. Remove the dust with the tack cloth.
  4. Paint the chair with Licorice.
  5. Measure the seat to determine the size of the planks.  Cut planks to fit the chair.
  6. Sand the edges to make smooth.  Attach slats to the chair with screws.
  7. Add the Folkart Varnish to the chair seat to protect.

Cool colors are all the colors on the Green and Blue side of the color wheel. Yellow, Yellow/Green, Green, Blue/Green, Blue, Blue/Purple, Purple are all cool colors. All colors on the color wheel can be both warm and cool except Orange.
Transparent colors are thinned with medium or water to create a wash or a glaze of color that you can see through to the underlying surface.
