Scalloped wood plaque, Oval wood disc, Brush basin or container for water, Paper towels, Fine grit sandpaper, ¾” Flat brush, No. 1 Liner brush, Hot glue/gun
Basecoat top side of scallop plaque as well as edges Country Twill. Basecoat routed edge Vintage White. Allow to dry. Sand smooth using fine grit sandpaper and reapply basecoats.
When dry, stencil Floral Burst as an overall design on the top of the plaque using Linen. Allow to dry.
Embellish flowers with strokework and dots using a No. 1 Liner and Vintage White.
Stencil “Friends” Country Twill and “always” Linen. Embellish with a small painted daisy using a No. 1 Liner brush. Allow to dry.
When both plaques are dry, assemble them by centering the oval plaque on top of the floral burst stenciled one using hot glue.
Tip: Think of the possibilities of color palettes! I chose a very neutral color palette which would blend in most homes, but you could specialize your project to fit your special friend!
