Scalloped wood plaque, Oval wood disc, Brush basin or container for water, Paper towels, Fine grit sandpaper, ¾” Flat brush, No. 1 Liner brush, Hot glue/gun
Instructions
- Basecoat top side of scallop plaque as well as edges Country Twill. Basecoat routed edge Vintage White. Allow to dry. Sand smooth using fine grit sandpaper and reapply basecoats.
- When dry, stencil Floral Burst as an overall design on the top of the plaque using Linen. Allow to dry.
- Embellish flowers with strokework and dots using a No. 1 Liner and Vintage White.
- Stencil “Friends” Country Twill and “always” Linen. Embellish with a small painted daisy using a No. 1 Liner brush. Allow to dry.
- When both plaques are dry, assemble them by centering the oval plaque on top of the floral burst stenciled one using hot glue.
Tip: Think of the possibilities of color palettes! I chose a very neutral color palette which would blend in most homes, but you could specialize your project to fit your special friend!
