Help! I stained my needlework! What do I do?

The best way to try to remove the stain is to hand wash or soak your needlework project in a cold water/mild dish liquid detergent bath. Allow the project to soak. If desired, the project can also be slightly agitated with your fingers in the bath making sure all the soiled area is fully immersed in the soapy water. After soaking, rinse well under cool water. If necessary, repeat soaking in a fresh cool water/mild dish liquid detergent bath, then rinse well once again.

We recommend first trying to simply soak the project in cold water, mild dish liquid and vinegar (Use a mild soap like Joy or Ivory, and 1 ½ cups of vinegar for large projects. ½ cup for smaller project.) Freshen the mixture periodically. If that does not work, you can try a stain stick, but avoid anything that is detergent based.
