Is it necessary to seal or varnish FolkArt Marbling Paint?
Projects created using FolkArt Marbling Paints MUST be sealed. Project surfaces can be spray sealed using FolkArt Acrylic Lacquers (Matte, Satin, or Gloss Finishes) or brushed with FolkArt Artists’ Varnish (Satin or Gloss).
Note: Before storing finished marbled projects, surfaces should be sealed to keep projects from sticking to one another.

Projects created using FolkArt Watercolor Acrylic Paints do not need to be sealed; however, for extra durability and protection, project surfaces can be sealed using FolkArt Acrylic Lacquers or brushed with FolkArt Artists’ Varnish
How are FolkArt Milk Paint Brushes different from any other brush?
FolkArt Milk Paint brushes are manufactured with 100% natural black hog bristle. Available in two 1 ¼” and 2” sizes, FolkArt Milk Paint brushes are created with flag-tip bristles which hold more paint as well as spread it more smoothly.
FolkArt Milk Paint brush bristles are filbert shaped, creating “rounded corners” which reduce hard edges and brush marks.
Can FolkArt® Texture Paint be used on outdoor surfaces and projects?
Yes, FolkArt® Texture Paint can be used on outdoor surfaces and projects if they are protected from the elements. If they will be exposed to the elements, they need to be sealed with FolkArt® Outdoor Varnish.
How should I clean my FolkArt Milk Paint project?
FolkArt Milk Paint projects finished with FolkArt Milk Paint Finishing Oil should be cleaned with a dry, dusting cloth. Projects protected with FolkArt Bonding Primer & Sealer can be wiped clean to remove dust using a slightly damp paper towel or soft cloth.
Can I tint FolkArt® Texture Paint with other paints?
No, tinting FolkArt® Texture Paint with other paints may change the properties of the Texture Paint.
Do I need to shake FolkArt Milk Paint before using?
Yes, shaking the FolkArt Milk Paint bottle before using will incorporate the paint (if any has settled).
What is the dry time/cure time for FolkArt® Chalkboard Paint?
Dry time between coats is 1 hour and cure time is 24 hours depending on humidity.
How should I apply FolkArt Milk Paint Finishing Oil?
FolkArt Milk Paint Finishing Oil should be applied to a milk painted surface using a soft, lint-free cotton cloth which has been saturated with the finishing oil. Rub surface gently until the oil is absorbed, if necessary, wipe to remove excess. While oil is being absorbed, lightly wet sand using a fine grit (280 – 400 grit) sandpaper creating the velvety smooth finish. Surfaces that have been oiled will take approximately 30 days to fully dry and cure.
FolkArt Milk Paint Finishing Oil can be applied to lightly used or decorative surfaces, however, heavily used surfaces should be protected with FolkArt Milk Paint Bonding Primer & Sealer.
On what type of surfaces can I use Mod Podge Extreme Glitter?
Mod Podge Extreme Glitter can be applied directly onto a variety of surfaces such as: wood, tin, terra cotta, canvas, papier mache and even glass or ceramics when the finished glass surface will be used for decorative purposes only.
