Can I use FolkArt Treasure Gold as a basecoat or can I color block a small area?

Yes, FolkArt Treasure Gold can be used to color block an area. It can also be used to basecoat larger areas, such as a piece of furniture, for a very dramatic metallic effect. When color blocking, use stencil tape or painter’s tape to mask the areas to be painted.  

How should I clean my tools after using FolkArt Treasure Gold?

FolkArt Treasure Gold is a water-based product. To clean application tools, thoroughly wash the brush bristles, after each use, in soap and warm water. Never allow paint to dry in a paintbrush. 

Is a project created using FolkArt Treasure Gold dishwasher safe?

Yes, glassware that has been decorated with FolkArt Treasure Gold can be washed by hand or is safe to be cleaned on the top shelf of the dishwasher once it has been thoroughly cured to the surface by baking-to-cure. See how to cure painted glass projects to learn more. 

Can FolkArt Dragonfly Glaze be mixed with other paint products?

No, direct mixing of FolkArt Dragonfly Glaze with other paint products will compromise the color, finish and ability to shift colors. However, you can create a sheen story by layering a matte acrylic paint over sections of Dragonfly Glaze, or by applying Dragonfly Glaze over s...

How long does it take FolkArt Dragonfly Glaze to dry?

FolkArt Dragonfly Glaze will dry to the touch very quickly, when painted on most surfaces, however, it will take approximately 48 hours before it is cured to surfaces other than glassware or ceramics.  

How do I clean up after using FolkArt® Shinys?

FolkArt® Shinys should be cleaned up while wet with soap and water.

Can FolkArt Pre-Mixed Pouring Paint be used with other paint products?

No, direct mixing of FolkArt Pre-Mixed Pouring Paint with other paint products will compromise the color, the finish as well as the ability to achieve the desired marbled effect.   

Can I use water to thin FolkArt Pre-Mixed Pouring Paint?

Thinning FolkArt Pre-Mixed Pouring Paint is not necessary, as it is manufactured to the perfect consistency to create a variety of paint poured or marbled effects using either the Direct Pour Method or Dirty Pour Method.  

Do I need to mix or shake FolkArt Pouring Medium before using it?

No, shaking FolkArt Pouring Medium may only introduce air bubbles into the product.  It is best not to shake before using.

How long does it take FolkArt Pre-Mixed Pouring Paint to cure?

FolkArt Pre-Mixed Pouring Paint will dry to the touch within 24 hours, however, it will take approximately 48 hours before it is cured to the surface.
