Does FolkArt Brushed Metal Acrylic Paint hold up well on outdoor surfaces?

Absolutely. FolkArt Brushed Metal Acrylic Paint is formulated so that it can be used on interior surfaces as well as a permanent outdoor paint. By the nature of the acrylic polymers used to make FolkArt Brushed Metal, it is weather resistant.  FolkArt Brushed Metal Acrylic Paint dries to a brushed metal finish that reflects a soft polished effect. When properly cured to the surface, (approximately 48 hours), it is self-sealing and does not require a sealing topcoat.

Does FolkArt Color Shift Acrylic Paint hold up well on outdoor surfaces?

Absolutely. FolkArt Color Shift Acrylic Paint is formulated so that it can be used on interior surfaces as well as a permanent outdoor paint. By the nature of the acrylic polymers used to make FolkArt Color Shift, it is weather resistant.  When cured to the surface, it is self-sealing, making it unnecessary to seal or topcoat, when properly cured (48 hours). Once cured to the project surface, it is water and fade resistant under normal conditions.

Do I have to seal FolkArt® Texture Paint?
No, it is self sealing. If it will be exposed to the elements outdoors, it should be sealed with FolkArt® Outdoor Varnish.
What kind of paint is used for One Stroke™ decorative painting?
Any formula of FolkArt® paint is perfect for One Stroke or any kind of decorative painting. Donna Dewberry uses FolkArt® Acrylics, FolkArt® Enamels (for glass and ceramics), FolkArt® Outdoor (for outdoor projects), and FolkArt® Fabric (for linens and clothing).
How do I use the FolkArt Home Decor Varnish?
The FolkArt Home Decor Varnish is perfect to seal and protect outdoor and heavily used surfaces like table tops. This waterbase, non-toxic varnish has an ultra-matte finish that can also be used on raw wood. For indoor and outdoor use.
Directions: Mix well by rolling bottle on table top. Do not shake! Using a soft bristle brush, apply to dry, clean surface. Allow varnish to dry to the touch between coats, approximately 15 minutes. Clean up while wet with soap and water. Tips: For heavily used items apply 2-3 coats, allowing dry time between coats. When applying FolkArt Home Decor Varnish, hold brush at a 30 degree angle to project surface so varnish flows evenly from brush.
How do I use the FolkArt Home Decor Varnish?

Do I need to use a sealer over FolkArt® Shinys?
No, sealers are not necessary when using FolkArt® Shinys. They were developed as a self-sealing acrylic paint. FolkArt® Outdoor Varnish will improve weather resistance if a project will be in the elements.
Do the FolkArt® Shinys stick to each other after they have cured?
Yes, FolkArt® Shinys will stick to each other after they have cured. Any paint with a gloss finish will stick to itself. To prevent sticking, apply a coat of FolkArt® Outdoor Varnish.
What type of paint should I use when stenciling with FolkArt Home Decor Layering Stencils?
While FolkArt Home Decor Chalk is the perfect paint to use with FolkArt Home Decor Layering Stencils, these stencils can be used with a variety of paints such as FolkArt Multi-Surface Acrylic paints, FolkArt Outdoor paints, and FolkArt Enamels.
Is my Mod Podge outdoor project water-proof?
Outdoor Mod Podge is water resistant and is most durable when used on projects that are in a sheltered area.
