Other Supplies

  • Mod Podge Mod Melts - Glitters, Item #24914
  • Papier-mâché book box
  • Paintbrushes
  • Velvet embossed paper - Black
  • Wood Halloween saying
  • Heavy-duty glue
  • Hot glue gun

Instructions

  1. Paint the whole book (inside and out) with Maui Sand. Paint the spine highlights with Parisian grey. Paint the pages section of the book box with White Adirondack.
  2. Cut the black papers to fit the top of the box and inside of the cover/flap of the book box. Using Mod Podge, attach the papers to the top and inside flap. Don’t top-coat.
  3. Heat a silver glitter Mod Melt in the Mod Melter. Free-hand a spider web on the top of the box. Allow to cool.
  4. On the inside flap, attach a wood Halloween saying with heavy duty glue.
  • PROJECT TIP: When working with velvet or glitter papers, you may not want to top-coat with Mod Podge. If you do need to top-coat, make sure you test your papers first.
