Wood tote with handle, Four wood balls to be attached as feet, Brush basin or container for water, Paper towels, Foam plate, Fine grit sandpaper, Tracing paper, Pencil, Gray graphite, Stylus (optional), White craft glue, Waterbase brush-on varnish or spray finish (optional)
Instructions
Surface Preparation:

Lightly sand rough areas with fine grit sandpaper.

Basecoat center of tote Hot Pink. Paint top and bottom bands on tote Cayman Blue. Paint handle and four ball feet Wicker White.

When dry, sand if necessary and reapply basecoat colors. Allow to dry.
Tracing and Transferring a Pattern:

Place the printed pattern face side up before you.

Lay a sheet of tracing paper on top of the printed pattern. NOTE: you may secure the sheet of tracing paper to your surface with a piece of tape.

Using a soft lead pencil, or a fine point permanent ink black marker, trace over the main pattern lines. DO NOT worry about tracing over detail lines as they will not be transferred.
Painting Instructions:

Daisies – Paint thin, long daisy petals Wicker White. Dab Lemon Custard in the center of each daisy flower. Shade the lower left edge of the center with Artists Pigments Burnt Sienna. Paint tiny dots of Artists Pigments Burnt Sienna around the daisy center and accent the upper right center with tiny dots of Wicker White.

Daisy Leaves – Paint three Artists Pigments Hauser Medium Green leaves around each daisy. Accent each leaf with highlights of Fresh Foliage. Paint a center Fresh Foliage vein in the leaf.

Base of Tote – Paint Calypso Sky vertical stripes on the Cayman Blue base. Accent the top of the base with Calypso Sky polka dots.

Top Band of Tote – Paint Calypso Sky polka dots randomly on the top Cayman Blue band.

Handle – Paint polka dots and stripes on the handle as desired or refer to photo for color placement.

Feet – Paint Hot Pink polka dots randomly on the Wicker White wood balls.
Finishing Touches –

Attach the wood balls as feet to the bottom of the tote using white craft glue.

When dry, apply a few coats of either waterbase brush-on varnish or spray finish to seal and protect your artwork.
