Dress form clip art, Foam paintbrush, 8x10 canvas, Sewing pattern paper, Hot glue and glue gun, Velvet ribbon 1.25 yards 3/8” wide, Embellishments: paper flowers; flat pearls; fabric roses; rhinestones; appliqués.
Instructions
1. Paint the canvas with Sky Blue paint. You will only need one coat of paint.
2. Cut the pattern paper into large chunky squares. Apply a coat of Mod Podge to the canvas. Place the pattern paper on the canvas. Smooth the paper with your fingers. Apply a topcoat of Mod Podge over the pattern paper. Continue layering more pattern paper until the entire canvas is covered.
3. Apply a dress form clipart to the canvas by applying Mod Podge to the back of the clip art, place the dress form on the right side of the canvas. Smooth the clip art with your fingers. Topcoat with a layer of Mod Podge.
4. Using hot glue attach ribbon around the outer edge of the canvas. Add more embellishments to the canvas. For this design, flat backed pearls and a paper flower were glued to the center of the dress form. The left corner has a fabric appliqué, fabric roses, scrap paper layers and rhinestones. Attach embellishments with hot glue.
