Other Supplies

Wood Owl, Paintbrush, Plastic cup, Plastic knife, Plastic spoon, Icing bag and star tip, Black beads, Silver studs, large gold buttons

Instructions

  1. Paint the wood owl with Metallic Sterling Silver paint.
  2. Add Collage Clay to the plastic cup.  Squeeze in a dime size amount of FolkArt paint. Use the plastic knife to stir.  Add a little more paint for a deep color or add more Collage Clay to lighten the color.
  3. Place the stencil over the wood owl.  Tape down if needed. Using the knife add a dollop of tinted collage clay to the top of the stencil.  Using the spreader, pull the collage clay down over the stencil.  Life the stencil to reveal the design.
  4. Fill the icing bag with tinted Collage Clay.  Add a border of Collage Clay star shapes around the edge of the owl.  Allow to dry for 3 hours.
  5. Attach the star tip to the Vanilla Collage Clay bag.  Add large dollops of Collage Clay in the eye area.  Embed the large gold buttons into the clay.  Sprinkle with glitter.
  6. Apply the vanilla Collage Clay to the wing area in a star pattern.  Sprinkle with glitter and embed the beads and studs into the wing area.  Allow to dry for 24 hours.

PROJECT TIP: When stenciling with Collage Clay using blue painters tape to secure the stencil to your project.
