Instructions

Preparation

Refer to the Basic Stenciling Tips for information on using Martha Stewart Stencils.

Journal

  1. Using stencil tape, tape off horizontally at the bottom of journal as shown.  With a medium pouncer, paint below the tape line Wild Blueberry. Let dry.
  2. Stencil Brushed Bronze flowers using a medium dauber. Repeat pattern as desired. Let dry.

Bag

  1. Stencil the geo pattern onto the neon bottom of bag. Using a stencil brush, apply
Brushed Bronze. Repeat to create an overall random pattern over the tote front. Let dry.
  2. Stencil floral design as shown. Use smallest dauber to paint areas with a different color as shown.  Use medium dauber to stencil Wild Salmon. Repeat design randomly onto entire front of tote.
  3. Stencil Brushed Bronze floral onto leather using a stencil brush. Let dry and tie to bag.

Clean Up

  1. Wash all stencils, brushes, and tools immediately after use before the paint dries.
  2. Cleaned stencils should be stored on the backer sheet for future use.

Finishing

  1. Allow the painted project to dry 72 hours and then heat set to enhance the project's durability.
